Oxford University Press, London, 1955, signed 1st edition hardback with dustwrapper, VG/g+, 86 pp, chapter headings illustrated from ten b/w drawings by Lynton Lamb, six b/w photographic plates. Patterned cloth boards with green linen spine and red title plate. Signed by author on title page (see scan), one inscription on front pastedown, no annotations, sound square binding, pages lightly tanned, light dust staining on edges of text block, gentle rubs to edges of boards. Wrapper largely intact, several small tears on edges and head and tail of spine strip chipped, original price clipped, now in protective acid-free archive film.
